TG4 has confirmed the return of Junior Eurovision Éire, with a brand-new season set to kick off on Sunday, 21st September at 8:30pm.

Presenter Louise Cantillon will once again take the reins as host, guiding viewers through weeks of exciting performances from Ireland’s brightest young singers.

On the judging panel, fan favourites Niamh Ní Chróinín and Tadhg Ó Sé are back, bringing their trademark mix of expertise and encouragement. Joining them this year is a fresh face: comedian and broadcaster Hugh Carr, who steps into the role of permanent judge for the very first time.

As in previous seasons, hopeful contestants will audition across Ireland, with the top ten making it through to the televised rounds in studio. Each week, they’ll perform for the panel, joined by a rotating guest judge. Kicking off Episode 1 is none other than Brooke Scullion, who represented Ireland at Eurovision 2022.

This season also carries extra significance: it marks 10 years since Ireland first entered the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. To celebrate the milestone, TG4 is aiming high, with hopes of seeing Ireland break back into the Top 10 on the international stage.
